Kat discusses the tragic murder of Sylvia Likens. The murder of Sylvia Likens was a child murder that occurred in Indianapolis, Indiana in October 1965. Likens, a 16-year-old girl, was held captive and subjected to increasing levels of child abuse, neglect, humiliation, and torture committed over a period of almost three months by her caregiver, Gertrude Baniszewski, many of Baniszewski's children, and several other neighborhood children before ultimately succumbing to her injuries.

She was, however, an active member of a large gang of highwaymen who operated out of two houses in the backcountry near Charleston, the Five Mile House and the Six Mile House. It is not clear whether the Six Mile House was a hotel,but it did serve as a hideout for a number of outlaws.

The Boston Strangler is the name given to the murderer or murderers of 13 women in the Boston, Massachusetts, area during the early 1960s. The crimes were attributed to Albert DeSalvo based on his confession, details revealed in court during a separate case, and DNA evidence linking him to the last victim.
